I'm trying to convince myself your not real
Trying to forget I could ever feel
Take a deep breath and wait
1,2,3,4,5 my release is a little bit late
Take a couple more
Wait for the tears to pour
Numbness follows after tears
The numbness takes away all the fears
Everything about you and me
Everything I thought we could be
Is soon forgotten and lost
I could never predict what our happiness would cost
It cost your life and mine
I thought that after this we could've been fine
But we couldn't; not ever again
And so it was to begin
The changes we made
The US starting to fade
Once again I start
My mouth against the smokey part
Inhale deep
To forget what I keep
The secrets that lay within me
I pretend I can't see
So I forget this all
And continue to fall.
