This isn't a Utopia

Contributed by blossomingcherry5353 on Thursday, 18th August 2005 @ 12:08:15 PM in AEST
Topic: political

I try
To find
One feeling inside
My heart
For you
To understand
Love
Is pure
And free
But to be in love
Happens once
Or twice.

In a world of hate
Where is
The love?
To bring peace to us
Is hard
Believe me
To fight is harder
Not knowing
Who wins
Struggling for life
That’s not
Even here.

To be the one who
Says no.

Is that
An unjust reason
To live?
To breathe?
To be afraid of
The army
Of one
All under one rule
Of death
And pride
To serve this nation
And die?
For what?
For our arrogance?
Our strength?
To prove
Other’s wrong or to
Prove right
Do we
Only think of war?
Can’t we
At least
Find other ways to
Prevent
This war
From consuming us
In fear.

To end
The ego-centrism
That is cocooning us
With our rights
Being dissolved
Right in front of our faces
With government lies
Controlling our lives.

This isn’t a utopia
It will never be that way
Even we, the people
Have our country
To maintain.

In view of your age, your insight into political life is little short of remarkable.. Bravo indeed
