Learning To Walk

Learning to walk before I run,
Putting in hard work before all the fun,
Tying up all the loose ends,
Forgetting foes who I thought were friends.
Living in the now not the past,
Still smiling when a shadows been cast,
Not giving in, not bowing down,
Not letting anyone steal my crown.
My steps are small but they are steady,
I feel better, I feel more ready,
To take on my demons, to slay them all,
Now it’s my time to stand up tall.
For granted my happiness I will not take,
As it’s taken so much to mend from my break,
I feel more covered, where as once I lay bare
But still I know myself I am not quite there.

We crawl, we walk, we run. I am so happy you are getting there. Let me know when you can run and I will find a proxy, I am too danged old to run anymore, lol. I love you, sweety. Already put in my running time. Retired my shoes!
