Wishes of You
If wishes were real then I'd be a king
and if dreams could come true then you'd be my queen.
I would fight off your demons and ease all your pain,
every day would be springtime without all the rain.
If wishes were real then I'd wish for sight;
to always see you in your own special light.
I know that your heart is as true as can be,
and I know it's your love that makes my heart free.
If wishes were real then I'd wish it to be
that your heart would remain the way that I see.
Your beauty is deep and it starts from within,
your eyes are like pools that I could fall in.
If wishes were real then I'd be with you,
I wouldn't be sad or lonely and blue.
My heart would be light and my soul would be free
to do all the things that will make you want me.
If wishes were real then I'd wish for two,
one for the kids, and of course, one for you.
I would wish you could find love to last through the years,
for someone to care for who won't cause you tears.
If wishes were real then I'd wish, you see,
that maybe that someone would always be me.
I'd wish you would want me for all of your life,
to be right beside me and live as my wife.
If wishes were real then I'd wish it to be
that we'd be a family - the kids, you and me.
I would wish all the love and the care in my heart
would be quite enough for a joyful new start.
If wishes were real then I'd go for broke,
I would wish for all of the things that I spoke.
I would wish you could love me and trust with your heart
that I would be here and never would part.
If wishes were real, and I know that they are,
then I wish with my heart on some faraway star
that God in Heaven will look down and smile,
and grant me these wishes that will make life worthwhile.

I'm definitely falling in love with your poems...you have a new fan.
I hope all of your wishes do come true someday soon. With a talent like this, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

Your lady of wishes will be with you
She is not far, I'll bet you have her and how
A write like this lets me know she is there now.

** Your beauty is deep and it starts from within ** Beauty is within....a beautiful personality isnt shown on the outside, it comes from with in....very nicely worded in this line.
