DARK SOUL

In my minds eye I have seen the darkness
that consumes my soul. unbound to death
and despair, I search for a sign of hope in my
world of blue. Love matters not to one who
blocks the path to it. My essence, perplexed
in reality and beyond that of the norm.
Tempermental and timid is my heart, stoned
yet weak. It's not easy to see things as they
truly are. Unprepared for the homecoming I
travel, it's easy to be decieved of safety.
Undertaking the path may lead to my
undoing.
The treasures I have taken are not my to own
but mine to protect. I know some consider
me mad and that is bad judgement from bad
people. Blind by my own inhibitions, I look
on in wonderment. My conscience feeds my
dark soul, my heart locked away.
If I go, I will not be mourned. If I stay, I will go
mad. My confusion causes chaos within
me. Am I born yet or am I alive?
Dead, gone, or hiding. I want to be whatever
Iam destined to be and more.

Oooo i like this one alot....My conscience feeds my dark soul....i love that line...this is a beautiful write and sooo dark and yes you are right soo 90's hehe...keep writing my friend.....
