THE SNOW GLOBE

He sits there rigid in his silent stare,
The same look he's had for ever,
Never showing any signs of care,
No aknowledgement we're here together.
If only he would sit closer to me,
Perhaps even give my cold body a cuddle.
Then I wouldn't wish I was free,
And we would be warmer in a huddle.
But instead we sit at two ends of the seat,
And I stare continuously at the church steeple.
My bonnet in a bow, my coat all neat,
My dreamy mind yearning for more people.
Here come my children, my favourite part!
They shake our globe with such glee.
They'll never know the love in my heart,
As the soft snow fall on him and me.

I love this! How in the world did you think to write about a snow globe? I thought it was very clever.
