I will miss thee golden hair,
those lovely locks of sun,
and those beautiful earth toned eyes,
that were always picturesome,
I will miss thee shapely smile,
that never leaves your face,
and the soft touch of your hand,
the hand of so much grace,
I will miss that colorful laughter,
and those silly little grins,
I will miss those times we spent together,
in those warm and cozy winds,
I will miss the blush upon your face,
that makes you so unique,
and that tender voice,
thats ever soothing,
each time you speak,
I'll miss the flare, you hold so well,
that strong and steady light,
I'll miss the way you come alive,
you are a pious sight,
but mostly sister,
I'll miss you,
your pure and pleasant spirit,
Sister, I do love you,
through the miles can you here it!

Awww Valerie this is so sweet i hope she see's this before she leaves...this gave me chillbumps..may peace, safety, and strength go with your sister where ever her journey takes her to serve this country...this is a beautiful write ...

A sad enjoyable poem, it is hard when you have to farewell someone close, then worry till they safely return.
I hope she comes home soon, so that you will not have to worry anymore, then she will be closer to your heart and side. |
