Its the thought of something intangible..
You can see it, but dont dare touch
You hope and wish and pray for it
But you never truely want it
Youre scared to really have it
Once its been obtained what now will you do?
Keeping looking from afar
It seems so lovely from here
Yet the closer you get...
The more flaws start to appear
Your so close you can taste it
But are you sure its what u want?
Can't you see the imperfections...
The emptiness it flaunts
This thing has slowly drained you
Your life has gone to it
No longer can you leave it
This is all you get
The emptiness has taken you
You have no sense of self
Are you sure this is what you wanted?
This little peice of still
Maybe one day you'll escape
But for now its got you tight
So hold on for tomorrow
For youre lost to it tonight!

This seemed to me more of a 'dark poetry' piece...at least, that's where *I* ended up!
