Where there was once laughter, there
is now only silence.
Where there were once children laughing (Playing.)
There are now only echos.
Footprints lead away...
Washes off while the winds hold stray...
Heart shaped carvings and initials...
Sand castles...
All blown to some other place.
Chalk drawings, washed out by the rain...
Hides tears...
While the sky changes to gray...
Where we are,
We have yet to see...
But here is where we all will stay.
Where there were once voices,
There is now only abstract carvings in the stone.
Left for physical memory,
Only seen and enjoyed by the gathering shadows.
Time capsuled burried under concrete,
When finally dug up,
The contents will be impossible to read...
And graves over us...
Filled with veterans wondering why they had to bleed...
For a country perished because they disagreed.
Feelings and thought not meant to be freed.
Words and verses no one was meant to see.
Let's just keep this between you and me...
With Love,
From No One
