The Day From Hell

Contributed by Kitty06 on Monday, 15th August 2005 @ 06:30:23 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Tossing and turning, bed sheets too tight
I rolled and I pleaded with the sandman all night
I wake up from a hazy dream
Into the pool for a normal practice, a normal day, or at least it seemed

Worked over until I vomit and nearly faint
Practice goes on until way past two hours after eight
I come home body broken and spent
My friends asked me over and I thought no rules would have to be bent
Little did I know my parents had been conspiring behind my back
Thinking they have my life on the right track

They forbade me to go for fear of him being there
The love of mine that I include in every thought and every prayer
Never again am I to see him as far as their concerned
It is of the true meaning of the word hate I have learned
I said it not once but again and again
I cut them with my words, made them feel my pain

Then I called him in my time of need
I cried and begged for us to flee
'I don’t want to be here anymore'
'My heart is dying, bloody, and sore'
'Help me, make it all go away'
And he is silent for there is nothing to say

The silence finally broken and a sound so strange that I hear
It is the sound of him shedding his painful tears
Never have I heard him cry
It can’t be happening; him crying is like a lie
It is my turn to sit in silence for there is nothing to say
Then his brother picks up the phone and for now my love has to go away

My viens pulse with a feeling I never felt before
Vengeance, vengeance must be sought for the heart of my love that is torn
I’ll kill them, I’ll make them dead
I’ll say things that long ago that needed to be said
I’ll write my hatred in their blood with a kitchen knife and sing a mournful song
My soul will then be damned to hell and I shall take my own life before long

‘Tis the day from hell I share with you
All of this happened except the last part from the bottom, lines one and two
Sing me my love, sing your sweet lullaby and make this day go back to where it first crept
Make my mind so that to comprehend this day I am inept
Help me, help me my brave warrior, help me please
No longer can may parents be appeased

I stay silent and listen to his sobs and his heart break
Inside my heart is a tornado and my head an earthquake
Today is the day from hell
What tomorrow will bring not even a psychic could tell
BLOOD
