The Unicorn and the Mermaid (co-write with Eddy Kent)

Contributed by mom11159 on Monday, 15th August 2005 @ 11:40:03 AM in AEST
Topic: mythology

In this beautiful land where magic hides
Where mermaids and unicorns go side by side
In this land where magic is love all around
Touch of the unicorns horn sends magic abound

The mermaid meets with her special friend
At the shore line where unicorn come to pretend
She is looking to be a woman on land
And her unicorn friend said he give her a hand

Just a touch of my horn, now make a wish from your heart
After you find love your fins will depart
But love must befound first before I can fulfill your yearn
Find a man of your dreams who will love you in return

So the mermaid and unicorn went together in search of this man
Who will love her unconditionally despite of her brand
As she does her swimming he gallops astoundly
In search of this man mermaid friend needs profoundly

The bond between the two grow deeper each day they spent together
As they talk to each other and fend ed off the weather
He allowed her to ride upon his back as they searched
For the love of her dreams where ever he perched

She didn’t know that her search had ended so founding
As returning home her heart was a pounding
For she had fallen for her wonderful unicorn friend
Her heart was sadden for this could only be pretend

But what she did not know was he had fallen for her too
And suddenly before they both possible knew
As they spoke the words out loud to each other
The both transformed to humans and now lovers

So never give up in this beautiful land of magical love
Just look at the mermaid and unicorns white dove
The magic did prevail as they both never knew
This could happen someday with magic for you

This is absolutely magical. I love it. So what I surmise here is that I am not waiting on a love, I am waiting on the magic to create it. Hmmm. Sounds possible to me.

Hugs,
Rita
