From A Window On A Airplane

From A Window On A Airplane
~~~~
From a window on an airplane
I thought I saw you in the clouds
Or was it just my imagination?
Running free and wild
No matter how long it’s been
Your memory is here with me
And the fact I miss you so
Blinds my eyes to see
From a window on an airplane
I stare into space
Emptiness fills my heart
And not just this place
I’m trapped in the moment
Gone from my seat
Floating in the atmosphere
Burning from the heat
From a window on an airplane
A tear hits the ground
And I feel so all alone
Though others are around
I’ll never get pass the pain
Of a life without you here
At times it feels like yesterday
Although it’s been years
From a window on an airplane
I hear the pilot say it’s time
And although we are descending
My emotions are on the climb
Another busy day
Awaits me when we land
And I’ve got to get beyond this
Though I’m not sure that I can
Have you been away or have I just not noticed your work? Either way - great write......
From a window on an airplane
Absolutely loved these lines:
"I stare into space
Emptiness fills my heart
And not just this place
I’m trapped in the moment
Gone from my seat
Floating in the atmosphere
Burning from the heat"
I can so relate!
Thanks for sharing!
juliette
