she ran so far
as fast as she could
to get away from the world
that had cast her away
for all of her innocent mistakes
cruel faces starring at her
judging her every move
trying to escape her past
and all the pain
she ran so far
as fast as she could
she now lies awake
planning her next steps
everybody makes mistakes
why couldnt they forgive and forget hers
she pays for them with her life now
the mistakes from an awful past consume
everything she has left
she uses to make it through
maybe tomorrow will be different
and her peirs will accept her
for now she cries herself to sleep
until day break unfolds something new
something better than what she has now
hopefully....
