Shut the door and turn off the light
I’ll pretend that everything’s alright
I’ll keep it together until I’m alone
I’ll just fall apart when I get home
But the secret that I’m keeping, babe
Is that everything is not okay
It hurts more than I’ve been letting show
It’s harder than you probably know
I’m not the strong one, I’ve never been
I just learned how to pretend I am

a lot of this sounds familar to me b/c i also try to be strong for everybody until i am alone. Something i probably got from my mom b/c she is the same way. this line is very true
"I’m not the strong one, I’ve never been I just learned how to pretend I am."
