Mystical Woods

Contributed by mom11159 on Sunday, 14th August 2005 @ 09:11:36 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

A blanketed mist moves, among a towering evergreen wall
Haunting within a mysticism of magic known by all
Numinous trees dancing in shadows pass beyond my eye
Blocking vision of a supernatural when I walk on by

To enter into to this mystical place unknown
Imagination used, reveals chilling things to be shown
This eerie place sends chills up my spine, causing elevation
All my senses go wild, seeing all the wonders of mystical creations

Despite the eeriness of this mystical land within
I can sense some breathtaking magic as my face takes on a grin
As I look beyond the mist to see the evergreen trees
Beautiful pink flowers are the wonders that I see

The air so thick full of chills yet so divine
Walking along I hear a sound, I look behind
For the noise I hear is the familiar sound of a man
I'd loved and lost before out side this land

But how can this be many years he has been deceased
Yet standing there his eyes so blue, his love he released
He takes my hand holds it tight, walks me to
The magical place our growing love once knew

I sit with him in awe , talking of our time spent before
Every minute spent together made me love him even more
Suddenly sadness struck my heat, I realized while in his embrace
We will never again kiss or touch once I finally leave this place

My eyes began to fill, when he gently touched my face
Don’t worry he said, I know you’ll return again to this place
Then he whispered softly, I won’t let you forget this
As he leaned over, embrace me, gently gave me a loving kiss

When I opened my eyes I was alone once again
But my heart was happy for I knew I ‘d see him when
I opened my heart and mind to the supernatural door
Of the Mystical Woods and my love for evermore!!

*****A blanketed mist moves, among a towering evergreen wall
Haunting within a mysticism of magic known by all

Yes, I have seen that mist.... its is haunting...mystical..

Also like the mist in your eyes, blocking the view..

I have seen haunting fog too, as it rolled in, it appeared as if it had feet.. walking toward our car in the park right after it got dark

It looked like a ghost.. my husband and I would go sit in the park in our car just to talk away from the kids.. and we viewed that fog.. lol.. to say the least , we both got scared and drove home lol.. two grownups afraid of fog.. mystery in itself..
It looked like it was coming to get us, attack lol..

*****Walking along I hear a sound, I look behind
For the noise I hear is the familiar sound of a man
I'd loved and lost before out side this land

wow, very ...touching... what a magical blessing... he came to be with you.. I bet that felt wonderful..

*****Suddenly sadness struck my heat, I realized while in his embrace
We will never again kiss or touch once I finally leave this place

Sad yes, physically no touch...

Nice transitive senses you have...

I can feel this with you as I read your write..

Your memories are deeply etched into your heart and mind..

*****I sit with him in awe

This is so beautiful to me..

****When I opened my eyes I was alone once again
But my heart was happy for I knew I ‘d see him when
I opened my heart and mind to the supernatural door
Of the Mystical Woods and my love for evermore!!

Oh, mom.. most beautiful and touching write here..reading it, I felt as if my tears were crying right in my chest walls.. Got a little choked up reading it...

I am so happy you got to view this beautiful encounter of a lossed loved one...

On November 13, 1999, my first husband came to visit me.. I was sitting, writing at my desk on the computer at that time.. it would have been his birthday..

I did not to tell anyone at all, thinking they would think me crazy in the head..

A couple days later, my oldest son came over and said to me, mom, mom.. did you feel it..

I said, feel what.. I knew what he was about to tell me.. I said yes, I did, did you son? He said yes.. So, I said, and what was that you felt son? He said, mom, dad came to love me... I just fell apart in tears..

And then, that evening, my younger son wrote me email to tell me dad came to visit him.. my mind just blew a gasket...

It had been years since I saw him.. He died after our first 6 years of marriage, my sons were only ages 3 and 4..

Thank you for this most moving write..

My prayers are with you always,

Raquel Leah ; ))
