I gave you my trust
Even though it was covered in rust
It hasn’t been used in so long
What did I do that was so wrong?
With you, I fell in love
Thought you were as pure as a dove
But after I had played my part
You decided to just break my heart
My mind is now lost
So much of my life you’ve cost
I just want a run away
And learn to love some other day
These scars I have won't ever heal
These cuts show the pain I feel is real
Save me from people who think they know me.
But mostly, save me from what I don’t want to be
