No matter what I say...

Contributed by holderofthestone on Saturday, 13th August 2005 @ 05:25:23 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

sitting all alone...
your thought is closing in
reaching out to you
but your gone again
every time I need you
you vanish into space
you seem to only be around
when there’s a smile on my face
life’s not always pretty gardens
sometimes roses rot and die
sometimes things fall apart
no matter how hard we try...
should I have to settle
if I'm not happy where I'm at
I guess I get no options
but I’m used to that
if I have to stay the path
I see destruction is the end
I fear that things will go awry
and fall apart my friend
I don’t mean to hurt anyone
I don’t want to get hurt the same...
life can be so cruel sometimes
it plays most wicked games.

I'm wandering astray now
don’t know which way to go
I'm drowning in the waves of you
can't break free from the flow
you frolic through my dreams at night
I can't seem to get you out my head
I remember how we used to laugh
and all that we had said
I guess they had no meaning
I'm a fool to think they did
so caught in myself
just thinking like a kid...
there’s nothing here to offer
I'm finally seeing it now
I've heard those words before
but thought they were false somehow
I get it crystal clear though
I really do see...
I see there’s no room in your heart
no room inside for me...
so I'm moving on to different things
maybe the world has more
or maybe I'll just get hurt again
just like how things were before
anything is better
than being reminded everyday...
that nothing will make you love me
no matter what I say...

Sad and beautiful write. I don't know how old you are but I can tell you, just because someone has hurt do not give up. I was 35 when I found THE ONE. I had almost given up after much hell in my life, glad I gave it one more chance. I found my soulmate, and so will you one day. Peace to you. Laura

This is another brilliant poem, I know how you feel. You put so many peoples thoughts into words, it sad but true..I think it helps to know others have been through the same. Thank you. x
