Forget the way he used to hold you tight,
making you feel that everything was all right,

Forget how soft his kisses felt,
how he made your heart melt,

Remember that you wanted it this way

Forget the way he made you feel,
saying those three words that felt so real,

Forget the way he used to make you smile,
the way he made you feel like the best for a while,

Remeber that he's gotten over you

Forget all the feelings, forget them all,
like the way you felt when you got his call,

Forget all the time that you spent together,
thinking that you guys weren't an error,

Remember that's it's over

Because what's done is done,
what's said is said,
and you have to forget

It's always hard but at least you know he's over you so you don't have to worry him wanting you back when you get over him. It's really hard to get over a love that you ended in the first place. But when you know there was a reason to end it and neither of you is over it... that's torture. At least, you have the assurance that you have to get over it and don't have to fight him wanting you back when you know he's not going to treat you right. Loving a jerk is something that would be best to avoid at all costs...
