If you're happy and you know it show me that you love some one
If you're so concerned about it go out and do something right now
I watch my favorite shows on t.v. every night
so I don't have the time to go and do what's right
I pay my taxes let the state and government
do all the things I complain of every day
It's not my job to help the poor and destitute
I think I have much better things to do

Some one is counting on you
and I hear you say
"I'll leave them to their fate
and some one else will save the day
and if they some how die
then it is not your fault
You stand and do nothing
and others pay the cost.
Is that the right heart to have
does it show you really care care
When you know what to do
and you say that you won't do it
If you're happy and you know it show me that you love some one
If you're so concerned about it go out and do something right now

I agree with Jenni, you see someone needs help, do it. Something needs to be done to fix problems, do it, help. I do volunteer work 3 mornings a week for Star of Hope. Some people really do get off their duffs and do something besides complain. Need is generally obvious. Great write, Archie.
