The Sock Monkey

Contributed by EricBRamey on Friday, 12th August 2005 @ 07:20:11 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I place my arms above my head,
Curl my hands in an ape-like way,
Bend and bow my legs just like an orangutan,
Then stick out my lips and jaw…for a monkey face.

Push out my feet so I walk with a funny gait,
Belly sticking out…just like a chimp,
Making the sounds a gorilla would make,
Bouncing around the room for a giggle’s sake…

Sock Monkey I am today,
The laughter bowls over in an uncontrolled way,
Do you wonder why we close the doors and lock the locks?
It’s because I do the monkey dance…in nothing but my socks!
