There Are Days

Topic: Lifepoems

There Are Days
~~~~
There are days
When the sun shines for everyone but me
When the rain is on the horizon
And dark clouds are all I see
When doubts run through my veins
And my head feels like a balloon
When the orchestra of my mind
Plays out of tune
There are days
When my eyes fail to see
All of the blessing
That is bestowed upon me
When my spirit feels so caged
And self pity runs the gambit
When everyone and everything
Is unfortunately taken for granted
There are days
When I am out of reach
Where my heart and my mind
Are on some deserted beach
Where I’m left to my own devices
As the water washes me away
Out into the ocean
Until sadly I decay
There are days
When you snap me from my trance
While trying to get my attention
By pulling on my pants
And you crawl on my lap
Around my waist you hold me tight
And simply remind me
That everything is all right
