Waterfalls

Topic: NaturePoetry

A wonderful site to be seen, in water oh so grand
As crystal clear comes crashing down, on the rocky water land
A mist is splattered over all that are near this beautiful site
As they witness the spectacular waterfalls, beauty and its’ might

The crystal blue wonder that pounds down on the rocks
Often seems to do a dance, then it starts to mock
The natural flow of water now plundering with such force
To let us know the might of this Waterfall on its course

So breathtaking sitting there, just watching the glorious show
Of nature and the water combining all it knows
It speaks to nature just to say I’m here to keep alive
All of Gods beauty I’ll continue to help it thrive

Replenishing the waterhole with its beautiful display
To give a thirsty animal a drink along the way
God gave this wondrous waterfall the ability to plunder
Down into the waterhole to combine with natures wonder

So sit and watch this waterfall, enjoy the feeling inside
While witnessing the breathtaking show, thrashing down with pride
Let its beauty fill your heart with knowledge, peace and truth
Now knowing that the waterfall keeps nature in its youth!

I like nature poems and have read two now from you ... I like this as much as the one about wolves. You are creative with rhyme and very descriptive in your words. Nicely written.

Cathy, your imagery is so wonderful. Waterfalls, oh yes, I love them. Mainly because not only are they beautiful and show the raw power of nature, but there is always a rainbow around somewhere, lol. Your nature poems are some of the best I have read. I do enjoy your work so much.

Smiles n hugs,
Rita

Cathy, this is a wonderful write. The imagery is great as you took me there to the waterfall, I could sense it's awesomeness. You are very talented. I really enjoyed this.

Nice Poem! Even though I don't like ones which are all happy (I prefer sad and sombre ones), it's excellent. Fantastic description of the water falling down onto the rocks.
