Blind As A Bat.

Contributed by lillyjane on Thursday, 11th August 2005 @ 04:33:24 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I've lost my glasses, where have they gone,
i'm sure I had the blooming things on,
i've searched and searched, all through the day,
cant see without them anyway,

I've looked in cupboards, searched again,
I need my glasses, to find them,
just got dressed, managed that,
nearly broke me neck, fell over the cat,
please let me find my spectacles,
i've sqaushed the poor cats testicles.

Oh no theres a knock on the door,
its my friend come for a jaw,
she talks so much, I cant keep pace,
dont seem so bad, now I cant see her face.

She goes home, I search again,
then I think i've spotted them,
I grab them up of the floor,
oh no , its just an apple core,

I plonk down tired on the settee,
theres a CRUNCH, what can that be,
my glasses now are in two bits,
my eyes are just two little slits,
I've now at least, learnt one thing,
keep my glasses on a piece of string...

That is very good. has this ever happened to you. You are looking for your glasses and your friend comes over and asks you what you're looking for and you say your glasses and he tells you that you have them on. This is a great poem. I try to put my glasses in the same place every time I take them off so that i don't break them. This is a great and funny poem.

I loved reading this. I think there is definitely a wicked sense of humour straining to be released within you. Brilliant. Oh and 5 for using the word 'testicle' though I didn't like the fate that befell them . lol

I am the #1 customer at the Dollar store where I buy them 3 pair at a time. I can't remember where I leave them and yes the eternal crunch as I sit down...this was great and man I relate.
