early morning visit ...part 2

Contributed by roisin on Monday, 13th January 2003 @ 03:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

in the clear light of day you come to my door
to find me in a state of disbelief
in explanation
you say
been up all the night thinking
see I've brought breakfast
we need to talk
I say
I'm feeling half crazy
half of everything in my life these days is misplaced
I seem to be falling apart
bits here, bits there,
maybe not the best of times to talk
but still
you say
maybe tempting fate here,
indulging in impulsiveness,
words of either extraordinary brillance or of embarassing foolishness
please listen.........

later
I'm thinking
candlelight can be sooo forgiving
you say
O woman
are you some wanton goddess of my fiery visions?
(awwwh, go away)
the sweetest angel whose smile lights up my life?
(ahh, stop now)
the spirit that awakens my very being?
laughing I say
would you not stop now,
you say
what are you then?
I say
I'm still awake, but barely.................

My my my. An incredible story, Roisin. I like how you can find humor in this intrusive and somewhat annoying situation. A great write. And you didn't like these new posts? Roisin, you must be tired. lol. Seriously, I'm glad you posted them and left them. You have a very wonderful, enchanting, and pleasing way of expressing your heart and soul.
