Divorce is like death
it haunts you forever.
No body to bury,
no wake to farewell you.
You live, but apart
like ghosts in the dark.
But each of you see
how lonely you are.

I like this, Anita --- but... I can't stop myself from saying that I see it (divorce) very differently. I am both a divorcee and a child of divorce. My experience would tell me that it is (for some... for me at least) just the opposite --- the darkness and the loneliness existed before the split, not after. A bad marriage... can stop one from living and divorce sometimes feels an awful lot like rebirth.
Not trying to be argumentative or to disrespect your words/opinion --- just offering my two cents on the subject,

I don't know much about the subject, except that it does tear people apart. Well, I guess people do, in a sense, but divorce is their last step. Well written.
Take care.
