A stolen wish,

Contributed by lillyjane on Tuesday, 9th August 2005 @ 07:26:20 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

When I was a child, I normaly was quite good,
my mother always warned me, keep out of the wood,
well one day I thought, I have got to see,
I wasn't being naughty, only being me.

I really felt quite nervous,as I put one foot inside,
the trees were really dense, a whole new world to hide,
the wind was gently rustling, the leaves up in the trees,
I could hear birds singing, and buzzing of the bees,

I came into a clearing, and stood back agog,
There was a little fairy sitting on a log,
she looked at me and smiled,i've a wish for you she said
but the moment that she said it, I woke up in bed,

So I never got my wish, it made me want to scream,
my only chance of a fairys wish, and it was a bloody dream.
