Hiding

Topic: SadPoetry

~Always hiding behind these man made walls~
too scared to show yourself,
too scared to stay,
but too scared to leave.

Judging people before you know them,
assuming instead of learning,
a cloud of selfishness,
telling you to stop dreaming.

Afraid that the consequence might be too great to bare,
if you showed yourself. That the pain will haunt you forever.
The memories of the past -that just won't go away-
that life isn't fair... and tomorrow is just another day.

Where did your dreams go,
but you forgot you stopped dreaming.

What happened to your ambitions,
but you forgot you stopped caring.

Wondering what you did to deserve this,
only to realise that...

ignorance is not bliss.

This is a good write, that's worded well, but the 'bold ' words seemed random, and misplaced. Which took something away from their meaning...I found the same with some of the italics as well...I think the very last line would've been good in bold (but not Italics). Your expression in this piece was good however, and it was an enjoyable poem to read. Keep it up!!

Scorp.

The bold and italic are emphisis on mistakes I made and cannot change, aswell as my outlook on life.
