The sky sheds oceans
gathered pieces buckle
under its monstrous pressure
breaking rhythm one by one
You are out there
hidden among the sheets
sacred once again
renewed in His rainfall
I'm folding your clothes
as I was that night long ago
the one we don't speak of
the one that's been lost in the deluge
You are strong in me now
you and He and them
a fleeting place, and still a home
I had forgotten when I was a fool

It takes a while in life for most of us to come into our own it seems. Those who love us will stand back and wait and when we do become the real us will still be there with love in their hearts. I love this write and thrilled to pieces to see it.
Hugs,

You wrote something.
You wrote something that knocks on the door of my soul the way so many of yours do. You wrote something that screams at me in a quiet but potent way. You wrote something that makes me wish all of the other somethings you wrote were still here.
You wrote something... and I am so very glad I didn't miss it.
Extraordinary, Stitchy.

You did indeed write, not just something, but something. This has a deeply meaningful feel about it, a sense of depth and beauty, and a little mystery. I love the ending, and feel it says as much in those last two lines as many poems try to say in a dozen.
Well done!
Andrew

Yeppers, you did write something remarkable something a lot of us can so relate to. This is nothing more than just what the doctor ordered.
Amazing write Stitchy.

You spoke of musings, strength, weakness the past and the present you cherish. You made such an impact and what a love you have found.
We've all been foolish but you somehow know how to right it.
I'm glad to see you writing again. It was well worth the wait.
Excellent Stitch, truely.

Just don't forget that it is still acceptable to act foolish once in a while, dear Stitch. For that is truly the source of some of the most absolutestly best laughter.
I read through this once and liked what I saw.
I read through it again and falling pieces began to "fit".
I read a third time and as some have said ... I could see, you, he, Him, and them ... and maybe I am wrong, but I believe I understand why this is in Happy Poetry.
" ... renewed in His rainfall" ... yep that just about says it all.

( who is decidedly glad you were compelled to share this )

Stitchy...you tell me I grow all of the time... Well, in this, I think you are the one growing.
I love this piece. I am so glad you posted
(And, I know it's odd to say, but I am so proud of you)
A powerful, staggering piece, hun.
Well done.
Good write,
*hugs*

The flash of mystic insight in this write.
So good you wrote and posted it.
Great job! real gripping.
Are you "Stich" of the German Embroidery?
or another Stich.?
I do recall a Stich to whom I had explained the diverse Stiches. and how confusing the translations thereto it.
Great write!
Love and peace

*Still glad to see you*
Glad you had a good day! I liked the poem, but I've not slep yet, so I'm not really in a commenting mood yet... sorry.
Take care.
