Daddy why did you go,
it hurt us all, don't you know?
Daddy it was just too much,
I guess for you it wasn't enough.
Daddy why'd you have to be this way?
Will you ever come back someday?
Daddy did you have fun hitting me,
I guess it's just the way God wanted it to be.
Daddy why are you like this,
are you something I should miss?
Daddy don't you know that bruises fade?
but the pain will always stay.
Daddy should I forgive you,
that's something I don't think I could do.
Daddy you broke us all apart,
you broke all of our hearts.
Daddy you hit us yea, but why?
it seems every night I sit down and cry!
Daddy I sometimes think to take these pills,
don't you know that depression kills.
Daddy I know you don't care,
Why do you have to be so unfair?
Daddy I know you probably won't come back,
and I know this for a fact.
Daddy why'd you cause me all this pain?
all I have is the life that still remains.
Daddy don't worry I'll make sure its not long,
please just listen to my song!
Daddy I'm just gonna be gone,
and hope this pain will be undone.

Wow. Nevr been abused by my dad but i have a past n i can still relate. It made me cry. Great poem. I'm glad he and you are doing better.
