I wanna go into that land

Contributed by Archie on Sunday, 7th August 2005 @ 11:29:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

We live in a world that keeps its guard up
To let people too close invites much hurt
I want to live in a world where all the people
see each other's greatest and worth

Yes I know I''m dreaming
I must be out of mind
to say I want to live
in a world that's a paradise
where everyone has what they need
every where

(Chorus 3 times)
I wanna go
I wanna go
I wanna go
into that land

(Chorus 1 time)
Where I can be me

In this land we lock our doors tight
and we keep our children close
We compete against each other
to see which one can get more gold

Imagine if a land existed where we all were safe
and every where we went we all were close knit family
where all the people lived in peace for eternity

Chorus

(Bridge)
In the world today
there is pain and suffering
and we cry
because of brethren
I wish there was
a place were that did exist
where we all in joy could stand and sing

So when I fall asleep at night
let me dream of a land that''s a paradise
And when I wake up in the morning
help me bring a piece to earth

So that when my people are encouraged by my acts
they can sing the same song that I have upon my lips
and long to live in a place that has perfect peace

* * * * * * * * * *

Somewhere beyond this time and place
there is a land that lies in wait
where summer flowers bloom in winter
and dessert waters don't taste bitter
Where enemy and friend alike
sit at the place of sacrifice
Where we are safe from all harm
Impart that place into your heart.

Very beautifull masterpeice.
things can be this way right here but it has to be a personal choice to make things better.
We may not change the world but each individual heart can shine if we keep trying one at at time.
good work.
huggs,
emy

I wish I could hear this sung. I love poetry, but I admit something is lost without the music to back up song lyrics. Let me know when your record comes out so I can hear this one for real.
