Rendered Peace

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Sunday, 7th August 2005 @ 05:06:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Maniacally trying to suppress
the memories that cause distress

Turning the past into fiction
to fend off this affliction

At the root is a cancerous abscess
foul with pus; apply a warm compress

It is that very description
that assures a lonely conviction

Suffocate a mouth that cannot confess
grapple with ghosts meant to repress

Satisfy this darkish depiction
hinting at a gruesome infliction

To deal with the trauma, live life to excess
handle peering eyes with flair and finesse

Feed this unsteady addiction
burning inferno, causing mass friction

Conquering life's demons that threaten success
What's next on the menu? *sigh* I digress...

What's on the menu? Scorparetta, SUCCESS, is on the menu next. You are young and strong and wise. You will have learned from your mistakes and the mistakes of others and the only way to fly is up, my dear.

Hugz,
Rita

this comes across as positive to me, leaving the past behind, looking forward, the "mass friction" is just a small part, the future is where you are and what you do next....."peering eyes"......must be tough to ward off those onlookers who just cant get enough...i belive you are more successful then you give yourself credit for....but there is always room for more.....

nice job

great write! but don't totally forget the past-- it's good to remeber the past... just don't live in it. look to the future and wait for the next thing on 'the menu' great write, keep it up!

Sounds like you went 10 rounds in a fight to the finish; and you beat the heck out of your personal enemies! While life has been a struggle at times, you come out a winner: " Conquering life's demons that threaten success....What's next on the menu? " *sigh* I digress.... As to what's next on the menu, perhaps a nice glass of wine to wash it all down. :)

Great write, Scorp

Will

Left me a bit speechless.
I/'/m uninformed and shooting in the dark.
Very heartfelt write albeit somewhat sad although you say that this is positive. Keep on keeping on. You are tough and can and will rise above it all. I know this and I know you do too...
Fascinating write regardless.....
