Just a Friend

Contributed by ButchCorpuz on Saturday, 6th August 2005 @ 11:24:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Night after night I think about you
And the sadness that he put you through
All the pain and all the tears you’ve cried
Your broken heart aching from inside

I’m not your man, and we’re just friends
And I guess that’s where the story ends
So I try to question destiny
Could it possibly be you and me?

If I was your man, I’d love you so
Hold you so close and never let go
I’d keep you safe and hold your hand tight
I’d wake up just to kiss you goodnight

When you need me, I’d be by your side
Here to listen each time you confide
And lend a shoulder for all your cries
Each time tears rain down from your eyes

I’d spend more time just to make you smile
Every minute with you is worthwhile
I’ll walk you home no matter how far
I’ll do anything to be where you are

If I was your man, I’d spend each day
To spare time getting out of my way
Just to see you, just to be with you
Letting you know that my love is true

I’d give you my heart, my life, my soul
And everything else that makes me whole
There is nothing that I wouldn’t give
I’d love you for as long as I live

But I’m not your man, and we’re just friends
And that’s where all of my dreaming ends
If you are truly not meant for me
Then, just a friend I will forever be

-Butch-

Very Well Written-
Sometimes all we have to hold on to someone is friendship-
Love comes in many forms-
Never give up as True Love conquers all-
