Bad Rap

Contributed by Archie on Saturday, 6th August 2005 @ 08:29:34 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

A man got arreated the other day
he was a priest stealing church money
A lady reading a newpaper showed me
She said "I don't go to church any more
because they're all a bunch of thieves"
And I knew she did not know God

A man was arrested the other day
for abusing his young son
The son grew up in a foster family
He said that going to church was weak
because people just push you around
And I knew he did not know God

(Chorus)
We are all free creatures we don't see it
At any time we can do just what we want
It's easier to cast blame than to heal a broken heart
And it shows We do not know God

Chorus

I was in the train station
and I saw a homeless man
Everyone walked by including me
I felt guity and I went to him
And at Mcdonalds we did eat
Something then occurred to me
He thanked me for my kindness
It was then that I could see
that this man was loved by God

Chorus

wow this is sad but still beautifyull.
i don't go to church either but without a doubt I know good. i have no problem and respect those that go to church. i did plenty while growing up and even after I had a family.
some people's minstry is in the chruchs but others like me go out amongst the people as Jesus christ did.
What u did with the homelss guy is where it's at for me. Honestly and blunt, ( as everyone knows I am by now), where was the misiters while this humble child of god needed food? U are luv as u recognize God in all forms. to me this is a lost message to our planet.
I had a brother-in-law that wasn't very smart but one could tell he luved God even tho he had deep down ignorence as to life. Still he worked with the homeless and my sister would go to the homeless shelters with him. She use to put my poems on cheese and macaroni boxes. the importent thing to them was helping others less fortunate than them 'cause if u've ever struggled money wise then when u can u wonna pass God's blessing on.
Please friend, this is nuthing personal just my opinion.
God bless u for seeing God even if what u see isn't pretty.
God bless u, huggs,
emy

I really enjoyed reading that.
I love the fact that people can make such
beautiful poetry, and not rhyme.
(IM STILL WORKING ON IT!)
haha..
Good job!

I have always held on to my faith. Things sometimes happen in life and it does test us.

No matter what troubles we have to face in life their is always someone so much worse of than us. In the third world countries they have nothing to eat. How bad can it get than this. What you did you did out of the kindness of your heart and if more people helped those lest fortunate than themselves this world would be a nicer place to live. It takes only a few pounds a month to save just one life. 7p a day. Your kindness will go a long way to help others. Let others open their eyes and help.

A fabulous write.

May god bless you for you to bless others

Love Angelxxxx

This is a very sad but touching piece of our world today. I do not believe in organized religion, but I do believe in a Great Father up there, waiting for us to open our hearts to him and let him guide our spirits. God is in us every moment of our lives, but most keep him locked up inside a building that they only visit once or twice a week. God is everywhere and will listen to you anytime. GOD IS, AND HE IS AWESOME. Rita

Really well written poem. It's good to see that you tackled with a real-life and religious issue at the same time. Great work!
