The Traveling Rage

Contributed by xXx_Fem_Fatale_xXx on Saturday, 6th August 2005 @ 04:23:38 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

7 am, raging people,
Running, pushing, shoving
In a rush, hurrying for time
Fighting for a place
In public transportation

Why all this hurry, I ask meself
Whats the rush?
I am wondering,
Are we puppets on a time string,
Managed by a traveling rage?

Sitting down on this bench
Waiting for the train to arrive
Looking at those people
Fighting for their spot
Afraid they miss out on a seat

Behind the public windows
People blowing off steam from rushing
Looking like monkeys in a zoo
Reading their papers,
Eating their belated breakfast

Not worried by time
No need to hurry for a train
I am sitting here on this bench
Looking at people engaged by
The Traveling Rage...

~~Nats~~

You have captured the energy and craziness of the whole situation here nat.
Well put................why do we rush ?.It is though we are programmed to do so.

Now see, Nats, that is just another wonderful write from you. Pure, simple, yet inspired with great feeling and imagery. You brough the reader with you on your trip to the train station.

I'm sure you already know this from me by now but I just have to say it again. Your writing is absolutely brilliant and phenomenal! ! !

It was a pleasure reading this and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you,

Tim
