The welfare hoe digs into my back,
It takes its green dirt and dumps it in the sack,
It furrows its rows all thick and rich,
It don’t plant nothin’ except a *****.
The welfare hoe digs into my tax,
All fat and fed, still sucking out anything it lacks,
All full of dough its work is done,
All laid up like a winter toad, greedy for another one.
The welfare hoe has dug its last,
Its garden is dead but seed is planted again fast,
Its blade is sharp and still on the prowl,
It needs more green to feed its breath foul.
The welfare hoe sits on its wide rack,
All work is done except to pilfer and smack,
All soil is taken its blade gives nothing but pain,
All tapped out I am, it's back to work again.

I loved your figurative language and all of the metaphors were lovely... It was just a beautiful way to express your feeling and I really enjoyed it! |
