What is Love - I think I just figured it out

Contributed by jilted on Saturday, 6th August 2005 @ 09:41:39 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I love him so much
I built my world around his
I cared of nothing else
Isn’t that what love is

Then one day he says it’s over
He wants to do it on his own
I want to hold on as tight as I can
But maybe true love would be letting him go

If you truly love someone
Their happiness is all that matters
If it’s what he wants, do I give it to him
Even if it leaves my life in tatters

The answer is yes. That is what love is.

You have a great understanding about love. It is unfortunate that not everyone has the same view. If this is a true story I hope that you will find a match who will stay with you. Great write.

This is absolute true love Jilted! Being able to let the other go when they want to go, no point in holding on to something that isnt meant to be or not working well.

Lovely writing.

Hugsss,

Nats.

You have hit on one great truth with your poem. You cannot keep someone tied to you if he or she wants to go. Start afreshI say bernard2

Such wisdom you shared with us and I absolutely agree.
I used to think the hardest part was falling into love but that isn't true. The hardest part, is when you sacrifice your own wants, feelings, desires and all those other things to simply let go.
Letting go is the hardest part, I think.
It is almost strange to think upon. It is like smiling, when inside your crying so loud as you watch them going...........................

Fantastic poem (and then some)

Kie :)
