As imperfect as I,
You could only hope to be --
Perfect imperfection,
The only good side to me --
Because I'm as perfect as imperfect can be.
Not as perfect as I,
As so revealed by your shape --
Imperfect perfection,
Your own body you rape...
Cut to pieces, held together by plastic and tape.
We're both human beings,
Our flaws deep from within --
It's not just as shallow
As the depth of our skin...
We're all perfectly imperfect,
Always have, always been --
Imperfectly perfect,
From the outside within.

ALL are imperfect, despite the perfection
we pursue.

| nice to see someone recognizing the same issues! i too have a poem called "perfectly imperfect". its nice to see people acknowledge it and embrace it. plus, you wrote it well ! great job. |

wow
this is awesome. ive thought of this before but never been able to write a poem about it. this was awesome! i love the way it flowed. this poem was perfect or should i say perfectly imperfect!
