WALK IN MY SHOES

Contributed by brokenwings on Friday, 5th August 2005 @ 01:57:31 AM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

She stands alone crying
reliving her true love dying
all alone holding his hand
they all act like they understand

But what she feels
not a one of them knows
They says she's dragging her heels
time they take a walk inher shoes!!!

All alone in the grave yard
they don't think it is this hard
when a wonderfull love goes
and only the heart break shows

But what she feels
not a one of them knows
They says she's dragging her heels
time they take a walk inher shoes!!!

She is told that its time to let him go?????
she let him go, but she's the only one who knows
tried to move on many times before
but was left longing and needing more

But what she feels
not a one of them knows
They says she's dragging her heels
time they take a walk inher shoes!!!

So when you see me cry
now you all know why
Before you tell me to get over it
Here is my shoes, take a walk
and when you get back we'll sit and talk

Then you'll know it not that easy
to lose the one true love you were lucky to find
and to be told by someone so sleasy
and someone so very unkind
to Just Get Over It, Let him go.!

For you may see me cry
but untill you walk in my shoes
you will never understand
or know me any more
because I lost all I was fighting for...

Powerful. It's hard to loose the ones we love, especially in your case.

I too am sorry for your loss.
Thers' allot og heartless people on our planet.
Everyone has to greiev in their own way and no one has the right to tell u how and when to grieve.
luv is eternal.
I just lost a good friend not long ago and I'll never let him go as he will live in my memory 'cause he too was a great guy.
Hang tuff, friend and don't let what others say get to u.
luv, huggs, strength,
emy

of course it is extremely hard to let go.....the pain is so tremendous so dont let people rush you.

most times people can NEVER let go.

beautiful poem, very heart-warming.

Thanks for sharing and hope to you.

Wow, this is very touching, my sister just lost her true love...in a fire up in Penn State. She goes to visit him every Saturday, and here's the same harsh words...very expressive. I'm sorry for your loss..things get better..and take as much time as your heart and soul need to heal, he is forever with you.

i think you should do what your heart tells you, loving someone as much as you did..time heals all wonds(eventually)don't let anyone tell you how you should feel..when you feel it's time to move on, you'll feel it in your heart..my prayers are with you to be strong...your Tommy will always be there...waiting for you...

Time heals but memories never. In your own time you will heal. I am so sorry for your loss and words can never console a broken heart. He will live on inside you forever.

(((HUGS)) for you

Love Angelxxx

I had found then, and over the years, that there were several who could relate, or could not relate to feelings of loss. Yes, I have a pair of shoes too, and with the grace of God, I walk with Him in His shoes. Bless you for this beautiful poem, that shares with us your most loving soul. RaquelLeah
