Mi Casa Es Su Casa

Contributed by mangos on Friday, 5th August 2005 @ 01:48:57 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

In the conflict that surrounds us
A new creature is born

A lapse of memory
That is forever torn

Apart from life or death
And from those that stand in its way

Accompanied by strangers
Left alone to rot and die

Pieces of a glimmer of light
That bends and circululates in the retina of the eye

In a strange place
Nostalgia hits you in the face

Past lovers that come to me
In a place of my heart I swore I would erase

Given up on the things that make sense
Irrational beliefs commiserate

An epitaph meant to convey
A sentiment left for a dreary day

Pardon the expression
The French translation

A meaning held in isolation
Separate from the hunger that feeds the starvation

Incorporated into the grand scheme
Of procrastination and the foreseen

Rebellion is the trend setting
To know what exactly I chose to mean

A display of products
Shelved in glass partitions

Arbitrarily placed
In a systemic organization

If time eludes you
Make no concessions

Read between the lines
Where the box makes its representation

Outside sources
And leisure recreation

Fun times
And the end, annihilation

I like the title : )

You really transcended this write into a story, and a seemingly pensive one at that...I do like the way you laid this out, and there are more than a few lines I just adore for the expression in them. To speculate a little, this comes across as mixed (and rather unexpected) emotions suddenly emerging...Also sadness over some changes, or perhaps lack thereof...Anyway, it was an enjoyable read, regardless of it's intent!!

Wow!. That was powerful, meaningful, and perfectly written.
