Who is lurking in my house?
There's no one I can see;
Between the silence long since stale,
There's no one here but me.
I'll search between the dustpiles,
And underneath the stove;
Are they hiding in the sink
Or outside in the grove?
There's no one in my closet
And there's no one in my bed;
Perhaps there's someone hiding
In the attic of my head...?
Creeping up the staircase
Just to take a peek inside --
I didn't give the nothingness
A second chance to hide.
Just beneath my fingertips,
I felt the brushing air --
It doesn't take a second look
To know there's nothing there.
'Cause there's no one here inside this house,
At least that I can see --
Unless you count the ghosts inside,
There's no one here but me.

If you feel alone my friend
theres something you can do
go to "Dunk & Donuts and have a coffee or two
Start a conversation with a future friend
and maybe for a little while
the hurt will start to mend.
And if that doesn't work you can talk to me.
Great write I was very in touch with what you wrote. |

Wow, just so captivating.
A brilliant idea for a poem, and it was written so well.
I think the idea of conveying the thought of self-haunting, no one's there to scare you but yourself.
Well done, this was splendid to read! |
