Matters of the Heart

Your freedom, an apathy to my hate,
of things that reside inside,
below, deeper than rock-bottom.
Hatred twirls in flames and ignites in pillars
that inspire dreams of desperation,
the evanescence of your words
are disguised by the world you burn,
the things you leave behind bestows
dust on pages unturned.
Like Autumn leaves in summer,
so are your words dismay.
Patterned life has became,
a new enigma everyday.
On to dust - on the way -
hope leaves as dread gives way,
in hallowed halls, slowly beats
a heart weaved in innate hate and pain
finally to its defeat.

Great imagery, and you did a good job creating a mood with your poem. One of my favourite lines would have to be,
" the things you leave behind bestows
dust on pages unturned"
Keep writing! I am definately a fan.
