Different Feelings

Contributed by Poetic_Angel on Sunday, 12th January 2003 @ 03:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

U think that I’m happy but if only u knew the truth
That deep down inside, your words no longer soothe
I keep lying to myself every time I say I should stay
Because deep down inside all I do is pray
To get away from the pain

I don’t know why I can’t tell you that I don’t feel the same
It’s like every time we fight, I’m the one to blame
I’m tired of being the wrong one so my heart has finally let go
But the words needed to tell you just can’t seem to let u know

You controlled me like you didn’t love the way I was
You permanently damaged my heart for no reason just because
U needed someone under u and I was the one u chose
The one who loved you unconditionally and for every calling I arose

I still haven’t been able to tell u, that I feel we should part
Because no matter what, u can never repair my broken heart

A poignant and sad poem. Yet well written and powerful allowing us who read it to reconsider how we take for granted those we
love and almost cavalierly assume they understand.
May Godbless and guide you.

Too many people take love for granted these days. Wish it wasn't so in your case.
Take care.
David
