Laying Together in the Graveyard

Contributed by pUnKa_RaCh on Monday, 1st August 2005 @ 09:21:27 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Open the rust worn gates
So we can march across this ancient land
This burial ground of all those old
As in wonderment we lie hand in hand

Here amid these inscribed graves
You confess your love for me
Which shall never cease or fade
Like the dove that sings so merrily

Residing with the non-living
It is tonight I feel so darkly alive
While embracing our final end now
On every waking moment let’s thrive

So when we do die
I’ll lie here next to you…

Just like this

I’ll remember this always
Together, as we lie amongst the dead
Our beating hearts with those at rest
The way our souls are lead

Let’s reside here forever
Until these buried bones do rot away
And the moon does mask us
Until the start of day

Just you and I…

Laying in the graveyard.

You get better and darker with each new post Rach-

"Let’s reside here forever
Until these buried bones do rot away
And the moon does mask us
Until the start of day

Just you and I…

Laying in the graveyard."

and again it was a brilliant ending my friend-
those last two lines..
magnificent!
