Lost on This River

Contributed by LolaWhite on Monday, 1st August 2005 @ 02:56:33 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Rain on my face
My eyes like dark clouds

Dripping their stormy brew
Striking my cheek with lightening pain
Each drop painfully new

I set sail on the river of tears
Flooding my pain as it floats away
At the end of the river is where I should find you
At the beginning of every new day

Kiss away the rain my love
My body is soaked through and through
Kiss away the pain my love
For I know not what to do

Will you be here again when the sun comes up
And all is fresh and new?
I fear that you will not my love
I'm lost on this river without you

So drown me in all of my sorrow
And choke me with all of these tears
Leave me to die all alone here
Rid me of all of my fears

I will see you again someday
But someday can't come soon enough
So until then I will sail away
On these waters so choppy and rough

*****I set sail on the river of tears
Flooding my pain as it floats away
At the end of the river is where I should find you
At the beginning of every new day

Hello Lola:

Suppose there were in the river of tears a very

strong current which drives us, (the boat) caught in

them, with a force that no skill of sailing, or

swimming, with the best wind...

no strength of sails, (oar) pain, could make any

head against, any more than against the largest

currents of the largest river, the absolute power

within us, exist in thoughts, those finest and

subtlest of all waters, that as soon once thought

begins, it forgets whose brain or heart, it belongs

to, which river, which tear, which

day and goes whirling off--- swim we merrily down

the river alone in a direction of self chosen, by law

of thought, and not law of clock.. The river of tears

has its own attraction to which specific direction it

wants to go....

Self direction of thought is the

impulse to search for a particular relationship, our

individuality...

****I will see you again someday
But someday can't come soon enough
So until then I will sail away
On these waters so choppy and rough

This write is so full of emotion... very nice artistic

representation of what it feels like to experience

the emotional life of a human being..

Thank you for posting.. I cannot say enough about

your poetry that would satisfy my need to read

more of your work..

RLPoetess ; ))

Lola, this was sad but written beautifully. I know it must be hard with your husband away, but he will return to you safe and unharmed soon. Prayers and Blessings

~Blue~
