A Poem For Andrew

Contributed by gwenevere on Saturday, 30th July 2005 @ 05:21:58 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

For years I struggled on alone
Just a workplace, not a home
No one to care and hold me tight
Sleep denied me every night

I'll be alright you'd hear me sigh
Laughing, smiling, never cry
The show must go on, You'd hear me say
Fear and heartache, every day

Then one day, I saw you there
Your gentle smile, your wavy hair
Your eyes so kind, your hold so firm
More of you I had to learn

Dance with me you lovely man
" Of couse I wiil if I can"
We danced and danced, became best friends
We knew what would happen , in the end

I loved you and you loved me
Together, forever, had to be
No more worry, no more fear
Thankyou, thankyou, Andrew, dear

You put life on a different plane
Free from sorrow, free from pain
Full of love and full of care
Now I know you're always there

I love you Darling, my heart is free
Soul -Mates for ever, you and me

A poem that would soften the most harden heart, exquisit in style, radiant in it's very
presence, simply put, a work of art . . .
