Hear young and old
the story told
of this a mouse that roared
Diminutive
but lots to give
he'll never leave you bored
His meager squeak
can havoc reek
It's all in how it's said
He's smooth and smart
he'll pass the heart
and go right to your head
To normal eyes
his tiny size
no consequence would seem
But this ole' rat
knows where it's at
and has a crazy dream
To be the best
and pound his chest
before those who did say
"Don't bet the house,
he's just a mouse "
then laughed and turned away
He wouldn't quit
didn't throw a fit
when setbacks held him down
With work beguiled
He charmed and smiled
you never saw him frown
And in the end
my little friend
with shear determination
Rubbed in their face
each tiny trace
of underestimation
and the moral is...
Hear not those who say you're unworthy
Keep trying and win the reward
Don't give up the fight
And one day you might
Be just like the mouse that roared

So very glad I waited ..you rat. lol Do you know that you're every bit as good a poet as me .. I'm thinking maybe better? But I just won a dart championship .. so ... HA! HA HA ... and I have a stool .. to help me play pool .. isn't that really cool? and I can stay in this place .. all day; if I want to play.. and just buy one drink .. if I'm able.. move all round the table .. just like Betty Grable .. (well then you finish the damned thing! LOL |

A mouse that roared.. yesss!!!
Meager..
Not always necessary to have the qualities of the bigger rat.., right? LOLOL
Diminutive..
A diminutive individual.. I like that word..lets the reader know where the speaker is going with the write..
Right on..
Just because we fall short in some areas; what most feel are "thee" normal qualities, does not mean we can not roar.
Keep up the good work little mouse.. RRRoaaarrr
Your write elicits a lot truth
