New Lover's Sleep

Contributed by LolaWhite on Tuesday, 26th July 2005 @ 11:07:56 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Glistening in the candle light
A shadow cast by the moon that night

The air smelled sweet of honey dew
And I spent that night wrapped up in you

Softly touched, my heart did race
A softer kiss picked up the pace

And all the world we did erase
For just that time in that special place

When at last the night was still
Quiet crept in and the darkness took fill

In with the fog came a slumber so deep
At long last, a night of new lover's sleep

You exress your love for this person, in a very remarkable way.. Many people can't write about love, but can only feel it.. So, to capture us in this love.. And that is beautiful.

Loved, content and safely in your lover's arms. Yes, that is a feeling I miss so much, as I know you do too. He will be home soon, I hope, bringing that peace with him to last you forever.
