If it's ok to shoot a child in the face for a barrel of oil,
And to stand over her corpse with a flag and a gun while her brain drips into the soil,
And to expect her family not to react or care,
Just to understand she was sacrificed for a higher market share,
Then let freedom ring.
Now I'm not big on ethics, my morals were never that strong,
But I'm pretty sure blowing up Baghdad for a profit margin is wrong,
And all of those crying mother's nursing their broken heart,
I'm sure will feel a lot better when they see a Halliburton bar chart
And they'll let freedom ring
To the president in the whitehouse who prays to a vengeful God,
The one who doesn't like arabs, blacks the poor and the downtrod,
The next time he see's a skyscraper and a passanger plane explode
I hope he knows those people are reaping the crop he as sowed
And he'll let freedom ring
It's a clash between civilisations and the problem he says is them
What he forgets to mention is we attack them again and again and again
And if he wants peace in our lifetime I've some advice of my own,
Stop helping yourself to their petrol and leave them the ***** alone
And freedom will ring

I don't normally like political poems, but I really enjoyed this. And think that if more people have intelligent things to say on the topic of Iraq, like you, then they should voice their opinion. Because a write like this makes you stop and think, what the hell is wrong with this world? Everything you wrote is true, I can appreciate the touch of irony in the line "let freedom ring" as well. Great work, keep it up...
