LYING IN THE ARMS OF AN ANGEL

Contributed by gwenevere on Monday, 25th July 2005 @ 03:41:45 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

I KISSED YOU THIS MORNING AND THEN SAID GOODBYE
YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE AND YOUR SOFT GENTLE SIGH
WALKED DOWN THE STREET IN THE WARM SUMMER AIR
HAPPY, CONTENT, NOT A WORRY OR CARE

I BOARDED THE TRAIN ON THIS FATEFUL DAY
THERE WASN'T A MOMENT TO WISH OR TO PRAY
THE BRIGHT FLASH OF LIGHT,THEN THE TERIBLE BOOM
THE EERIEST SILENCE, A FEELING OF DOOM

I FLOATED ABOVE ALL THE HORROR, DESPAIR
WATCHING THE SCENE AS I HUNG IN THE AIR
THEN SUDDENLY A DISTANT VOICE CALLED OUT TO ME
"YOU ARE THE LUCKY ONE, COME NOW TO ME"

I MOVED THROUGH THE TUNNEL WITH AMAZING SPEED
AWAY FROM THE NIGHTMARE AND THAT AWFUL DEED
A VISION AWAITED AS FORWARD I RACED
A FEELING OF PEACE AND A PICTURE OF GRACE

I WATCH AS YOU WEEP, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW
I'LL KEEP YOU SAFE NOW WHERE EVER YOU GO
A BEAUTIFUL ANGEL HOLDS ME IN HER ARMS
FOREVER SECURE AND SAFE FROM ALL HARM

Ros..
My eternal and perpetual thoughts and prayers to you, and ALL of London and England, for having to endure this tragedy-
I feel your pain my friend-
They want to steal our freedom, but we've got to be stronger than ever before!

(a moment of silence for you and your country)
