spreading my wings over the horizon
i can hear the sweet sounds of the birds whispering my name
heaven is overflowing with this light of joy
one moment holding the truth, i realize my life is held in a shallow
and everything has began to change
things that i have gaven up
the passion of a love that was more of a lust
i ranned from the presents of the prexsistence because it was a must
baptized with the lords hand
i realized there are things in life that i want quite understand
young but strong
like a rope i will continue to hold on
i've cried so long
lord i now have you in my prayer at night
here i am
i stand here before your eyes where you can see me in sight
i will love the present and the saying of your name, no matter
what others say of me
you helped me throught my battles, you helped me with all my fights
now i sit and lie on my back as the storm overrides the clouds
i smile
i smile because so much i have felt in the past
so much that i thought the pain will forever last
maybe i lost so much and then some
but God i thank you first,because i realized with you, i have overcomed
i have overcomed the most differcult times in my life
i have struggled left to right
i was afraid of being in a box alone
i was afraid of not being strong
i realized i have lost everything and some, but i realized that i have
overcomed

Amen and Amen..
Isn't it so nice to be in love with the LORD.. and your journey will be wonderful..
Do not be discouraged, as a lot of christians bear some pains, once they give their life fully to Him.. but it will all be worth it in the end...heavens gates.. to enter.. He is waiting for us all..
Yes, he gave us a free will.. to choose this or that.. this path or that path.. He loves us that much.. not to interfere.. He never ever gets in our way..
A loving Father who will not hassle or hustle us..
I know you have pleased Him..
My sayings you will see time and time again ...
here they are.. I love you and Jesus loves you and don't you forget it..
I am not a stranger to anyone.. for you are my brothers and my sisters..
Thank you for this extraodinary write.. Its beautiful.. beautiful, beautiful..

This is good work, my friend, a beautiful poem of hope. But the grammar is (don't take offense) very bad in places. That's not the end of the world, but it is something you need to improve on, to make your writing more readable. Find someone to help by proofreading, or if you want to drop me a PM, I can do so. Keep writing, though. There are some beautiful lines here.

amazing stuff friend, this poem wonderfully captures the walk by faith we are all called to.. it can be a tough battle fighting the wiles of our sinful nature... but be encouraged, and have hope, for the LORD your God is with you! the battle is not yours, but Gods, he loves you and has already won! Jesus took the keys of death and satan, and he wants to carry your burdens. as raquel quoted Jesus, thats not to say that in this world we wont have trials, but do not be afraid! Jesus has overcome the world! when you are in him you have nothing to fear, for his love is perfect. keep trusting in him, it says in philippians 1:6 that God who began a good work in you will SURELY bring it to completion. he doesnt to half jobs! his love for you will never change so when you hit those rough patches just keep trusting in his mercy and his grace. i really do love this poem, im very encouraged by it, and as andrew noted, with some editing it will be a masterpeice. keep writing! hmm, i guess ill leave you with one of my favorite verses.. "trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding, but invite him into every part of your life, and he will direct your journey along the good way." thats proverbs 3:5-6. anyway, God bless you and keep you, and may the grace of Jesus be with you always. keep overcoming!

Wow Seci...I must say, your writing impresses the hell (no pun intended!) out of me, and you will only get better with time...You express yourself so well already, and definitely have a poets flare for words. I must say, this subject isn't one I'd normally read, but I enjoyed reading this all the same. Your well chosen words gave off some wonderful imagery, and had a very inspirational, peaceful vibe to it...I really like that last line...Keep 'em coming, you are on the right track girl!!
